How to get an appointment?
Write me via the contact form and I will get back to you as soon as possible. (During office hours I attend to booked clients and cannot handle calls.) We will arrange a suitable date, then you will receive an anamnestic questionnaire and payment instructions by email.
First visit
The first session is usually longer, it is important that we have enough time. Fill at home an anamnestic questionnaire, print and bring with you. If you have reports from other examinations (ENT, phoniatrics, psychology, neurology), bring them as well. In order to feel comfortable, we change our shoes in the ambulance, bring slippers for your child. Thank you.
Therapy
The length of therapy is based on the results of the initial examination, diagnosis and the client's capabilities. We will meet as often as is efficient for you, usually once every 14 days, but can be even more or less. I actively involve parents. For therapy to make sense, you need to know how to do it. I speak English. I am happy to welcome foreigner parents and families.
Speech therapy for adults
Are you aware of difficulties with the pronunciation of certain sounds? Do those around you alert you to incorrect pronunciation or poor intelligibility of spoken speech? Then speech therapy is suitable for you. Even in adulthood, these difficulties can be eliminated. However, it will require your effort and regular training.
I also work with patients after CVA (cerebrovascular accident) or head injury. Here, impairment of communication skills is very common and therapy should be started as soon as possible after discharge from the hospital. I also provide care to people who have been dealing with a speech fluency disorder since childhood, most often stuttering.
Can you confirm my "work leave justification"?
Yes. Speech therapy care is health care in the same way as medical care, and the clinic of a clinical speech therapist is a medical facility. Accompanying a child to a medical facility is an obstacle to the employee's work.
